Pound Shop Preparation

This friday the Year 13 students spent some time on working towards the christmas pound shop. we have made signs, posters, flyers, decorations, christmas cards, gift bags, ornaments, badges, wrapping paper, stockings, and loads more. There will also be cakes and refreshments sold on the day. The Christmas Pound Shop will be Thurday 2nd December, 12.24-1.45.

Committee Meeting No.4

Futher plans have been made for the christmas pound shop. It will be on Thursday 2nd December, 12.45-1.45.

Committee Meeting No.3

Year 13 students have been making handmade christmas decorations, ornaments, wrapping paper, gift bags, badges and stockings for the christmas pound shop fund raiser. All the peices are really beautiful and definatly all worth more than a pound.
Darkstar brewery has donated free beer for the show!
We now have a live band planned to do an hour acoustic set at the private show, with a DJ playing after.
We have made further plans for the alternative christmas tree and are developing plans for the curation and presentation of the whole event, particularly the Visual Arts and Design prizes that will be at 7pm on the private view.

Committee Meeting No.2

In this meeting we all got to see the finnished Present and Incorrect flyer which looks really great. We all shared our ideas for the show, including creating an upside down christmas tree memorial, suspended from the ceiling, covered in fairy lights, which sounds really beautiful. We decided on some of the refreshments for the event, which includes mini mince pies, mulled wine, gingerbread, juice and beer. We have also just made a Present and Incorrect facebook page!

Visual Art and Design annual show!

This year Visual Art and Design show will be held at the Rag Factory (just off Brick Lane), 10th-12th December 2010. Private view 5-9.30 Friday 10th December. Open show, Saturday 11th December 11-7pm, Sunday 12th 11-4pm.

Rag Factory Committee

In peraration for our Visual Arts and Design show at the Rag Factory some year 13 students have formed a committe to make desisions on what happens in our show and so that we can really be a part of its construction. Some desisions we have been working on include ideas for an alternative christmas tree, a pound shop fund raiser for the event, themes for the visual arts and design prizes, entertainment, refreshments and any finishing touches for the show.
